ANKAI BUSES FOR SHANGHAI WORLD EXPO
Double-deckers and electric full-size buses will be supplied by Ankai to Shanghai, as part of the transportation for the World Expo. The electric buses are equipped with proprietary electric technology of lithium cells plus supercapacitor, which combination is capable of meeting the requirement of instant high power when starting or climbing and extending the service life of battery.
The Ankai
12-meter electric buses only need a charge of 110Kwh to ensure an action radius of 260km. The supercapacitors are charged by an overhead connection at the busstops. While each charging costs no more than a couple of dollars, a conventional diesel bus would require about 87.9 USD as fuel costs for the same distance.
Apart from the electric buses, Ankai
also delivered a number of open-top double-deck touring buses serving the visitors during the World Expo
as transportation on this complex and outside. The Ankai HFF6110GS-1
double-deck open top city touring bus offers passengers on the upper deck a 360°panoramic perspective and unique visual experience. The bus is further fitted with a 21 languages synchronous audio information system offering explanations for visitors from various countries and regions.
