BYD ELECTRIC COACHES TO BE LAUNCHED THIS YEAR
The BYD bus and coach plant, which is still under development, as are the BYD vehicles that will be produced there, has received a first order of 1000 units from Shenzhen government. The BYD Changsha Bus Project and the first electric coaches will launched later this year. The BYD Changsha project will be a new base for the development and production of electric coaches, buses and chassis.
At this moment it is already certain that the first 1000 new energy buses produced by BYD in their new plant will be purchased by the city of Shenzhen, which will receive the first buses later this year, making use of the incentives and subsidies the Chinese government is offering within the "10 City-1000 Vehicle" arrangement. BYD buses will be built in the former Midea bus plant, which was sold to BYD about a year ago.
