ALCAN SUPPLIES ECORANGE BODYPARTS FOR SINGAPORE SCANIAS

Alcan Extruded Products will be supplying bus operator SBS Transit in Singapore with their EcoRange of aluminium extrusions, sheets and joining equipment for 600 Scania citybuses fitted with 230hp Euro5 engines.
The vehicles' bodies will be constructed from these parts by Gemilang Coachworks of Malaysia, a long time partner of Alcan. The lighter aluminium parts will help keep the weight of the buses down, therefore reducing fuel usage. Production and delivery of the vehicles will take place until May 2010.
