TATA MOTORS ACQUIRES HISPANO CARROCERA

Tata Motors Ltd, which claims to be the second largest bus manufacturer in the world, has acquired Hispano Carrocera SA of Spain, buying the 79% of shares it did not already own. It had held a 21% stake for a few years.
When the acquisition is complete, the company will further strengthen the ongoing initiatives to advance in areas such as improving productivity, cost reduction and new product development, with the aim of enhancing the company's market shares and promoting better brand value. Tata is confident the company will emerge as an even stronger force in the Spanish and global PCV markets.
