CAMBRIDGE BUSWAY SET FOR NOVEMBER START
Bus operators Stagecoach and Whippet have now registered services to operate on the Cambridgeshire guided busway in anticipation of the route between St Ives and Cambridge opening by the end of November. Busway contractor BAM Nuttall has said it is confident it will be able to hand over the completed northern section of the busway by the end of this month, and all the necessary construction certificates will be in place by opening.
The busway is expected to be the best way to travel. There will be no traffic jams on the busway track so journey times are guaranteed and passengers will travel in comfort on luxury buses that will provide a very smooth ride.
It should encourage more people out of their cars and with leather seats, free wi-fi and air chill I know customers will be impressed with this high quality service.
The busway was originally to have opened in the spring.
