NEW VAN HOOL FUEL CELL BUS FOR STREETS OF CONNECTICUT
A new bus acquired by locally-based transportation firm Dattco is expected to be the first of its kind to service the city of Connecticut when it hits the streets in 2008. The Van Hool TD925 double deck coach, which is powered by fuel cells, will be the first double-decker to operate in Connecticut when it is deployed next year, it has been reported.
It is expected to be available to students and private charters, and its route is projected to include a stop at the Mohegan Sun casino. While the bus has 26 more seats than the average 57-seat coach, it also has lower emissions, the company has claimed.
Dattco has already a large fleet of Van Hool buses in its fleet.
