FOTON WINS $16.8M BUS CONTRACT FROM ASHOK LEYLAND

Beiqi Foton Motor Co Ltd recently announced it had won a US$16.8 million contract with Ashok Leyland Ltd., India's second biggest bus and truck maker, to supply buses in completely knocked down kit form.
According to contact, Foton will export 750 units of Foton Euro V buses to Ashok Leyland within a period of 150 days. Beiqi Foton Motor Co., a commercial vehicle subsidiary of Beijing Automobile Works, said the deal will help the company expand further in overseas market.
