The Big Bus Company is pleased to announce the addition of a small fleet of brand new buses to its Dubai fleet of sightseeing vehicles.  These new buses will enable Big Bus to operate a more frequent service, with buses departing every 15 minutes during the peak season. The buses have been custom built to Big Bus specifications by the Chinese bus manufacturer Ankai and include the latest in modern technology, digital language systems along with air conditioned cabin to ensure your ride is not only comfortable, but safe and secure.

The Big Bus Company has ordered real luxury buses, with a partly open top. The company has been operating London’s premier open top sightseeing tour for seventeen years. The Company began as a family operation and was formed in 1991 by Richard, Eleanor and Desmond Maybury. Starting with only two buses its focus upon entertainment, customer service and passionate local knowledge has enabled the company to become one of the largest open-top bus tour operators in the world, with 80 buses in London alone. The burgundy and cream liveried buses have themselves become part of the London Landscape. The Bus Tour has won three awards at the Visit London annual awards ceremonies and was nominated for Best Tourism Experience in 2007. In 2002 the company began an operation in Dubai and and after the recent order boasts 46 buses in its Dubai fleet. In 2003 the company opened in Philadelphia in partnership with Philadelphia Trolley Works. Still predominantly owned by the Maybury family, in 2007 the company announced an investment partnership with the UAE based Al Fahim Group which has enabled the company to broaden its horizons further. Anhui Ankai Automobile Co., Ltd, the supplier of the most recent fleet of buses,

is a listed Chinese company producing large and medium-sized coaches and bus chassis of various sizes and models. In 2003, it merged with JAC, its largest stockholder owning 20.92% of the share capital. The second big stockholder is the Anhui Investment Group, holding 19.34%.
