BONLUCK ADOPTED RADAR SENSORS AND THREE-POINT BELTS

Published at 30.10.2008 in Components, Coaches, Safety

Chinese bus manufacturer Bonluck, focusing on markets like the Australian, American and Irish, has adopted radar scanning and three-point safety belts as an option for its export coaches.

The basic structure of its coaches is built up from double sided zinc-plated square steel profile, which is imported from Australia. All main parts are undergoing a  mould cavity wax spraying treatment. Combined with protective welding, the skeleton is anti-corrosion and wear resistant for a guaranteed period of  20 years of active service life, the manufacturer claims.

In addition, an active radar anti-collision system can be installed, probably combined with cruise-control. With radar sensors mounted in the front and rear panels and on the, left and right side of the vehicle an intelligent scanning of obstacles is possible, which improves the safety of the vehicle as a traffic participant by warning the driver in case of an emergency enabling him to take evasive action before accidents happen.

Three-point safety belt are mounted on each seat of most export vehicles, thus improving passive safety for the passengers.
