SEVENTY HIGERS FOR TRINIDAD
Recently, 70 Higer buses and coaches were put into operation in Port of Spain, the capital of Trinidad. The coaches will be used to transport tourists around the island. They are part of a bigger order totalling more than hundred units of buses and coaches.
All vehicles are manufactured by Higer, the overall order consisted of forty coaches and seventy medium-sized buses. The total value of the order is according to Higer more than ten million US dollars. It is the biggest order ever placed by a Trinidad company with Chinese producers in recent years. For after-sales service and implementation of a training scheme a number of Higer technicians and after-sales service staff is stationed in Trinidad for a certain period.
The first contacts between Trinidad and Higer date back to some two years ago, when several coaches were bought by Trinidad for evaluation. During the 2-year test period the Higer buses proved themselves as reliable products; the purchasing order for over one hundred units partly delivered now was signed earlier this year. The remaining Higer vehicles will be delivered in due course.
