GUILIN DAEWOO BUS "TRANSFORMER" DEBUTS

At a local conference in Qionghai, Hainan Province, the Guilin Daewoo Company announced two new products, the Transformer 6128 and Happy Star 6900K coaches. Both vehicles were explained in detail, and the Transformer 6128 shown as a model.  

The Transformer 6128 is a  coach with a length of 12 meters, powered by the DV11 Doosan engine, though it is also available with Yuchai or Weichai Euro III engines.

The new Doosan engine is part of a new range of three vehicular engine models in compliance with Euro 4 emissions regulations. The DL06 (280 hp at 2500 rpm, 5.9 L, L6), DL08 (340 hp at 2200 rpm, 7.6 L, L6) and DV11 (440 hp at 1900 rpm, 11.0 L, V6) engines, which went into production in January 2008. These engines use selective catalytic reduction (SCR) systems to comply with the Euro 4 emission norms, the company states. Doosan also builds CNG engines for bus applications, the 8.1 L model GE08TI, rated 260 hp at 2300 rpm, and the 11.1 L model GE12TI rated 340 hp at 2100 rpm.

Guilin Daewoo Bus Co. Ltd., established in 1994, is a joint venture between Guilin Bus Industrial Group (China) and Daewoo Bus Corporation (Korea). Since its establishment, technology and management from Korea Daewoo have been introduced into the company. Guilin Daewoo develops and builds buses ranging from 8-12metres. Main market till now has been China.
