The 5th Busworld Turkey hosted professionals of the bus and coach industry for four days from 24th to 27th of April in Istanbul (CNR) Expo Center. There were 248 exhibitors present, of which 172 were local and 76 were international exhibitors, coming form Germany, Italy, UK, China, Canada, South Korea, Sweden, Switzerland, Spain, Austria, Mexico, Slovakia, Iran, Russia, Ireland, Poland, Romania, Belgium, Luxemburg, Uzbekistan, Morocco, Bulgaria, France and The Netherlands. The show was also visited by professional visitors of many different countries, making it a truly international exhibition. Preparations of Busworld Turkey 2016 have already started. News will be communicated regularly.

Due to the current political crisis and its economic consequences, Busworld International has no other possibility but to postpone its Busworld Eastern Europe 2014 exhibition, until the situation in Ukraine will have stabilised.

The Busworld International management follows the dramatic situation in Ukraine meticulously on a day to day basis. However, they still do believe in a peaceful outcome within a short delay and hope that the new established order will consider the problems of which the public and tourist transport is faced with. Therefore the exhibition in Kiev from 22 to 24 October is not cancelled yet.

During Busworld 2013 in Kortrijk, the Swedish company Byberg & Nordin and VDL Bus & Coach signed a contract for the delivery of 44 VDL vehicles. With no fewer than 27 Futuras FMD2, it is the first major order for the new model within the Futura family. The order also includes 4 Futuras FHD2, 8 Citeas LLE and 5 MidEuros. The buses and coaches, equipped with Euro 6 engines, will be put in service in the Swedish county of Västernorrland in mid-2014. All the vehicles will be used for public transport services.
